New Age Warehousing: Creating the Ideal Warehouse Fabric with Innovative Software

Welcome to the new age of warehousing. Demand is up, complexity is at an all-time high, and there are more constraints than ever. And yet, the myriad solutions we're using (WMS, WES, OMS) haven't kept pace. Hear industry software experts Mark Fralick (the Godfather of modern WMS architectures) and Kevin DiVincenzo (AI Software Guru) discuss how to reduce impedance across your IT network and share best practices for moving logistics software into the future (and cloud!). During this conversation, we'll talk about:

  • Designing logistics systems for inter-operability, and what we can learn from the likes of Netflix + Amazon
  • How to think about a standard data exchange and orchestration layer for your DCs
  • How to share information across systems with tools like APIs instead of old-school techniques like socket messaging
  • How to reduce the total cost of ownership of software
  • Hiring the right folks to handle 21st century software

Ideal Audience:

  • CSCO
  • Director of IT - Logistics
  • CIO

This 45-minute webinar will end with a fast-paced Q&A session by our warehouse technology thought leaders. We look forward to seeing you on June 14th!

SPEAKERS

Mark Fralick, Founder, GetUsROI LLC

Mark Fralick has been inventing new ways to solve warehouse problems since the 1980s.  His work spans decades.  His designs and ideas are the basis of the RedPrairie, JDA and BlueYonder WMS products.

As co-founder of Software Architects Inc (SAI) and co-designer and original developer of the popular MOCA architecture, the influence of his ideas, especially regarding enabling implementation partners, would shape WMS implementations for decades.  After selling SAI to McHugh Software (becoming RedPrairie), Fralick remained on as Chief Architect until leaving to start a new company called GetUsROI.  Since then, GetUsROI has taken on some of the largest, most automated WMS jobs in the world.

Displeased with the technical progress among WMS providers, Fralick started an R&D Company called AttunedLabs to help move the needle forward in terms of Execution System platforms.  Since then, his company has created a new processing architecture, called LEAP, a new WMS processing metaphor called the ElasticWMS™,  new  configurable UI tools, cartonization as a service, a product called Sitelinez and a new way to think about integration called Execution Activity Streams.

Fralick believes that if you want to push the envelope, it shouldn’t be the same envelope you pushed around in the 1990s.

Kevin DiVincenzo, V.P. of Engineering , AutoScheduler.AI

A physicist by training, Kevin has held multiple engineering leadership roles in the artificial intelligence, sales enablement, and semiconductor industries while also having served for the US Air Force as a Technical Sergeant focused on satellite and telemetry technologies.Currently, Kevin serves as the VP of Engineering for AutoScheduler.AI, focusing on bringing advanced mathematics to warehouses and distribution centers around the world. Managing a global team, Kevin oversees innovative development efforts as well as deployments to the majority of top Consumer Goods companies in the market. In his free time, Kevin contributes avidly to open source software, and enjoys anything related to space flight. He was also selected as a Pi Kappa Phi 30 under 30 member, and holds multiple patents in the fields of neural architecture search and supply chain planning. Moore has been published by journals and groups like ISSA and OTC for his work in both cyber security and predictive maintenance applications.

Prior to venturing into the supply chain business, Moore was a Director of Product Management at SparkCognition, where he helped to raise over $120M in capital and grow the business to one of the largest start-ups in the Austin area. Moore attended the University of Tennessee, where he received a bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering. He was bad at mechanical engineering, and proceeded immediately to a life in software.
